Amusements

Yesterday we went to church with Ben's mom, Pam.  Gwen and Zeke came out of Sunday school with cards for me.  This is Gwen's horse.  It gave me a little chuckle and Ben asked why there was a cross stuck in his behind.

the beginnings of a strawberry bed.  My other ones got smothered out by mulched up leaves been put in the planters.

Red onions, spinach, carrots and green beans and a little dino kale.  What?  You can't see them?  HAHA

Baby spinaches

Tomato seedlings I got for free from a neighbor.  Some look better than others.  We'll see.  I'm hopeful.

Cucumbers... except a rabbit came by and chomped on the middle one... grrr....

New plants in front.  We transplanted the large rose bush from the back.  Hope it makes it.

Ben's Mother's Day gift to me... flowers and mulch.  Love it.

Zeke and Paw Paw playing with a rope.  Paw Paw has been living with us for a few months now.  The kids really enjoy spending time and getting attention from him.

Gwen's Last Day of Preschool

Zeke and I went to a program at Gwen's preschool today.  It was her lasts day there.  A lady that was 7 ft tall and had a head full of curly hair sat in front of me... and she had long arms too..but still... I got some shots.  Other moms in the room were crying.  I was explaining to Zeke I didn't have gum.  :)  Gwen is so confident and she loved going to preschool.  She went three times a week for a couple of hours, but at the end of those hours she was waving to her teachers and friends and saying "Bye, I love you."

She looked for us in the crowd and found us.  She does remember us!

This and That

Just when you think spring has sprung... Kansas throws a little snow on top.  Rare May snowfall.

We went to Jumping Jax the other day and we enjoyed it until Zeke fell off a ladder and got a huge goose egg.  Thank you Lord for skulls!

She was afraid for a long time of doing this.  I thought she had given up.

Zeke loved the inflatables.

but no.. she conquered her fear.

This is the ladder Zeke fell off of onto tile floor. UGH

My bowl with a chicken salad in there.  I take pictures of my food ok?  Can you tell my appetite has increased since early pregnancy?

Ben brought these home for me last night.  I think they are a beautiful color.  Like a sunset.

Been painting the nursery.  It's more impressive in person. :)

Caught the kids reading the Bible together today.  Zeke was saying "what in the world?" and Gwen was getting angry with how many times he kept saying "what in the world?"  It cracked me up.

Big/Little Boy

The other morning I was downstairs early and heard something drop off the stairs.  I looked over there and it was a pair of little boy underwear.  Zeke came down then and he was standing there totally naked with markings all over his legs.  I asked him where those marks came from and he said in his groggy voice, "last early I did it at night time."  Apparently someone found a marker in their room and well... he drew a map.  I made him put on his underwear before I took these photos.  He is becoming a  big boy and says the funniest/cutest things.

GIRL!

God has given us another girl.  We can barely wrap our minds around it.  Now to naming this baby girl!

Mattress

We got a new mattress.  The old one sat out in our yard for an evening before getting hauled off.  The neighborhood kids really enjoyed using it as a trampoline.  My back is really appreciating the new mattress.

Fun Things

Breakfast with the kids.  They asked me to take their picture.

Another one of my favorite things lately.  This bowl I won from a friend's blog.  Isn't it lovely?

The reveal cake.  It is gluten free and cute!  We will find out tomorrow night if this baby is a boy or girl!

Things That Make Me Happy Lately

You gotta have things that make you happy.  Do I have deep and meaningful things to blog about all the time?  Nope...but I've got things that make me happy.  It just dawned on me that that is blog worthy!  This little broccoli man I picked up at the MOPS garage sale.  His brothers eggplant and carrot I didn't want, but this guy makes me happy.

I picked this up from the store yesterday because it was on sale.  It is basil scent.  I cleaned my counters and kitchen table with it and about passed out from happiness.  It smells so good and it actually makes me want to clean.  In case you didn't know it, that's a miracle.

Garage Sale Find

Got this bike for Zeke today for $5.  He was thrilled and I give all the credit to the Lord!  Thank you Lord for making a little boy very happy.

It's A...

Baby.  The sonographer did actually find out if it is a boy or girl and wrote it inside an envelope.  We will find out on Monday night when we cut into a cake with our friends there to celebrate.  When I walked into the sonogram today I thought for sure it's a girl, now I think it's a boy.  Did I see something you may ask?  No, and I'm mystified they can tell at all!  When the sonographer cut off her machine I said "do you know?" and she said she did.  I asked her "from those shadows you got that info" and she assured me she had been doing sonograms for 30 years.  :)

This first one is a front facing one.  My, how it's grown since the last time we looked in there at 7 weeks!

Look at its little arm lounging on top of its head.  It's like.. "what's up mommy?" (cue laid back third baby please)

What a sweet profile.

Charity: Water

I watched this talk last night that Ben saw a few weeks ago at an event.  He insisted I watch it and it was a real blessing.  It is the founder of Charity: water talking about his life story and how this organization came about.  If you have the time please watch this.  It blew my mind at how clean drinking water can make such a difference.  I'd like to donate my next birthday to this cause I think.  What a powerful testimony to how God can take a life and change it completely for His glory.
