Joys Seven

This is a song my choir is preparing for Christmas. I've been thinking of the words lately and how all these things could be a joy to the heart of Mary. I asked the singer next to me how could it be a joy to see Jesus on a crucifix and she said to me, "He was defeating sin." Do you think Mary knew that then? See what you think.

to see her own son, Jesus Christ upon the crucifix,
