Swine

So I was reading nursery rhymes to Gwen tonight and came across this one that made me go, "hum."

Curly-locks, Curly-locks, wilt thou be mine?
Thou shalt not wash the dishes, nor yet feed the swine;
But sit on a cushion, and sew a fine seam
And feed upon strawberries, sugar, and cream.

So... does that mean later on after she finishes her dessert that she'll have to feed the pigs? Just checking...

and finally... I think this is how you catch the swine flu. (compliments to Stacey M. for this pic) :)

I've read that one recently too!

I think it is supposed to be a romantic invitation to marriage. He's saying Curly-locks, if you marry me, you'll have an easy life (and I'll find someone else to wash dishes and feed the pigs.)

I thought about it some more - he's saying, "Hey baby, I'm rich! Marry me!

sounds good to me! If only the girl didn't have to exercise after she eats the strawberries, sugar and cream.
